December 12, 2014 - No filtering seems to have left this deep, dark and impenetrable but with the oddest neon glow kind of like Yellow Tail. But certainly not the taste of Yellow Tail. This is intense, backward, herbal, and rustic. I didn't get the booziness that others have noticed, and it paired very well with White Stilton stuffed pork chop that also had a lot of basil and parsley in it.

August 14, 2014 - A lovely blend of spice blackberry and garrigue. Classic style with well-integrated tannins. Took it out of the cellar after two years, decanted, and left it for an hour. Simply delicious. My wife was pouring the drips out of the decanter.

June 29, 2014 - No fruit, alcololic heat and harsh tannins. Poured it out.

March 24, 2013 - Decanted about an hour, heat and high alcohol are obvious but they do balance out quite well. Tannins are still sharp, I could see this aging well for few more years.
Quite Aromatic, but the heat over shadows the fruit.

January 25, 2013 - Impressive, complex nose. Big on the palate, with a somewhat unharmonious tannin profile. Nice to drink, but not in the class of other better Rhônes. Interesting spicy overtones which redeem the somewhat clumsy balance.

October 23, 2012 - Big ripe black fruit filled nose with a nice violet and herbal note. The palate is very similar to the nose, lush, juicy and ripe with a nice spicy, herby backbone which pulls it back from being too confected.

September 28, 2012 - One of the more interesting wines I have had, on that note worth the $12 I paid. I cannot rate this, at one moment a 70, another a 90.
A lot of herbs and earth and other stuff, not classic SW France Garrigue, but also some powerful stinky/earthy components. Loved one sip, then startled unpleasantly the next. Maybe brett plus VA giving a hot edge and variable complexity. But not flawed beyond the range. Expect bottle variation.

June 21, 2012 - Pete and Jan come to Toronto.; 6/21/2012-6/23/2012 (Mark and Erica's): Great nose but way too hot. Can't even attempt to rate this. As an experiment grab a couple and wait 5 years and check back in.
