December 6, 2015 - Past it's prime... muddled, stewed and hot. Maybe a bad bottle and will try the remaining one tonight. Perfectly stored since release, but not drinking well. We dumped it down the sink after a couple of hours of hoping something would changed.

October 31, 2015 - This is just fantastic and getting better. Big deep red fruit, terrific structure. At nine years old, it has hit its stride. I have one left and will drink it soon, as I can't imagine this wine has anywhere to go but down.

I should mention that this is a great food wine, but I've found that I like it best on its own. There's so much going on -- it's a great wine to sip with a friend and just talk about.

July 13, 2015 - In Boston between U2 shows. Drank out of small drinking glass. No decant. It was needed still. Should have waited many more years.

June 5, 2015 - Mixed reviews. Two drinkers liked it a lot. Good fruit, long finish, cherries and dark fruit. Two drinkers thought it was alcohol forward and not memorable.

May 12, 2015 - A big wine for sure. But, unique for California. no cola, confectionary sugar or bright. Has a purity throughout. But, a monster of a wine. A great type of style to have occasionally; especially when it is so well done. Wait at least 5 years for the last one.
