    February 3, 2024 - Gold.
Aromas of ripe melon, apricot, candied orange, marzipan, raisin and crushed gravel. Hint of honey.
Mid-weight. Cidery acids and gingery bitterness.
Palate of winter apple, walnut, apricot pit, papaya, acacia blossom, wet grass and oyster shell.
A fully mature yet vibrant and complex wine with yellow and exotic fruit, beautifully bittersweet on the palate and a long delicate ocean minerality finish.

November 1, 2017 - Laville Haut Brion Blanc Dinner (Tocqueville): Beeswax, smoke, lemon curd. Smells amazing but the palate is actually a little thin. Apricot. Oxidative. Tangerine.

July 13, 2017 - Farewell Filippo, Il Duomo table (La Trompette, London): Light to mid gold. A slightly tired waxy, lanolin nose but far more with it on the palate. A little beeswax and furniture polish on the nose too. With air it develops a touch of toffee and bruised apple. Splendid with food. A lip-smacking quality here withou any sweetness. (*)***

August 16, 2015 - Unfortunately, I waited too late on this one. Dark yellow, fruit depleted.

September 20, 2011 - From a good looking bottle, this wine looked ready with a gold center and yellow rims. The nose featured wax, pear, and wet stones.

In the mouth this wine was very ripe and rich. It was almost over the top but was saved by attractive leavening acidity in the long finish. Based on this bottle, I would suggest drinking this wine up.

October 2, 2010 - Tropical fruits, initial nose of dry dates, which gradually evolved into nose of coconut and vegetable oil. Rather fat palate with coconut oil, butter and vanilla, stayed at the optimal drinking state for more than 4 hours, good Bordeaux white and perhaps Wont improve further.

June 11, 2009 - Brown spiced biscuits in the bouquet. Very mature with a lot of nuts and apricots. Medium long finish. The overall quality is not what I am used to from this domain. Is it a faulty or wrongly stored bottle? It was not completely gone yet and I scored it 88, which is still excellent.

May 31, 2009 - Les Blancs de Pessac-LĂ©ognan @ my place (Netherlands): Ahh... such a pity. This one has evolved to quickly. Orange colour. Notes of apricot-jam. Looking for balance and couldn't find it. 16/20
