    December 3, 2023 - Crisp and clean but with great medium body throughout. Peaches and apricots with tons of minerality with just a bit of petrol right at then beginning. Always a great go to for a masala based dish and this was no different. Great now or for at least 5 more years.

    August 13, 2023 - Robe jaune dorée;
    Nez en richesse, en plusieurs couches, en premier temps sur des notes de fruits exotiques comme les ananas & la mangue. Il y aussi une belle dimension florale & une touche de gingembre. Beau bouquet bien parfumé où tout semble être bien en place.
    La bouche est d'abord grasse, riche, sur les fruits exotiques perçus au nez. L'aspect de richesse est bien supporté par une bonne acidité, l'équilibre est parfait. L'ensemble est tout en légèreté & en harmonie. Longue finale sur un léger sucre résiduel & des épices douves. Excellent!

    July 1, 2023 - Medium golden yellow in color. Aromatic preserved yellow citrus, lanolin, barely ripe pineapple, pine and wild herbs. Beautiful palate shows perfectly off-dry ripe citrus and peaches, good acidity and a very long herbal and honeyed finish. This is aging well.

    July 17, 2022 - On the nose, rubber, minerality like clear water running over pebbles, peach skin. The palette is a firework display. Juicy peach and apricot, cream, flowers, sparkly acidity, huge length, perfectly judged sweetness. Perfect for drinking in the park.

    July 16, 2022 - Opened three hours prior to drinking. Pale gold in the glass. Showing no signs of age whatsoever and a little shy aromatically with petroleum, rubber, lime zest, citrus blossom, and cold pebbles. The wine really comes alive on the palate, which is glossy, dense, and concentrated with a wonderful burst of sweetness and ripe stone fruits perfectly offset by a touch of bright acidity. Excellent.

    (Dönnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese) Very light yellow color; appealing, tart white peach, green apple nose; tasty, tart white peach, ripe green apple, mineral palate with definition and good acidity; medium-plus finish 93+ points (from 40 yr old vines grown on slate soils)

    (Dönnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese) ($40.00) Angular at first, as much wintergreen as (typical) cherry-blossom, but the length of (first) juiciness and (then) solid mineral and earth leads to a crash of intricacy where every cell of flavor seems exposed – yet it isn’t at all brash. And a creaminess that isn’t at all rich. Basically: Dönnhoff. ++
