    June 3, 2018 - Somewhat alarming bright tawny peach. Best at cool red-wine temperature, savory red/orange stone and pommes fruit, slightly musky, even a bit of citrus on the finish. The grape is tibouren, which I have never seen offered elsewhere; while the red version is light, transparent, and delicious, it is relatively familiar compared to this rose, which seems noticeably wilder and somewhat rustic. All that said, an excellent match for our Moroccan-style chicken thighs. No indication of being too old at this time.

    August 10, 2016 - Orangey pink. Interesting comparison with both the Cibonne Red and a Lanzarote drank over the last week. Compared to the other rose, fruitier and less savory, plenty of flavor but a lighter texture. Compared to the red, the flavor is less ripe and slightly bitter, and more freshening. Another grown-up rose, enjoyed with salmon burgers.

    November 4, 2014 - Peachy pink. Savory strawberry-pear nose. The palate is relatively full, underripe red and white fruit, savory, lots of mineral flavors and some herbs. The finish is full but clean, with a slight leafy tang. Really unusual but appealing, accompanied chicken burgers well.

    March 8, 2014 - Almost six months since I tried a bottle of this - similar in color, with a darker, blood orange-like hue.

    One of the other notes mentioned Jolly Rancher candy, and when you swirl the glass, watermelon Jolly Ranchers are one of the first things you sense. Nicely floral nose.

    Almost medium-bodied for a rose', dry on the palate, with a touch of bitterness on the finish. We finally have some nice weather here on the East Coast, so I'm grilling up some sockeye salmon, and I think this will pair nicely with the fish.

    December 4, 2013 - Jolly Rancher like fruit comes through with grapefruit pulps, herbs, minerals, and a touch of sea salt. It has good richness with good length on the finish. 100% Tibouren. 13.5% alc.

    Attractive nose, with fruits & minerality - almost a glimpse of tangerine, and I'd say the best nose of the trio today.

    Well-rounded on the palate; interesting, although if you asked me why, nothing specific seems to jump out. I think I like it better than the Bandol, but I want to try it with a little grilled Coho Salmon first, as the Tour du Bon also had nice qualities as well.

    August 17, 2013 - Gorgeous color to this wine: deep salmon / rosy orange. Looks amazing and impressive in the glass, unlike the common bright pink I tend to not like as much, and even the typically much lighter salmon Provencial rosés I often see and drink. It's pretty tight initially on the nose, with air and swirling bringing out a bit of red apple, fresh herbs, and light mineral. Pretty but subdued. The last glass, after significant air at this point, is showing more herbal and a light perfumed floral/rose note as well, that I'm quite enjoying. Medium to full bodied, with a lightly viscous mouth feel, medium acidity and finish, and flavors of minerals, white pepper, iodine, and subtle red fruit (apple skin, raspberry). This wine needs air to come together, and I like it just a bit below room temp. Nice bottle with a definite elegance and seriousness to it--a good rosé for your wino friends; save the cheap bottles for the party crowd. Paired well with marinated tofu and vegetables off the grill.
