November 27, 2015 - Red fruit all over the place. Got some leather and curry spice on the nose, with lots of dark red fruits. The red fruit continued into the tasting, very rich and jammy, a bit of tomato paste and tobacco leaves. A fine wine, that is probably at its peak. I wouldn't sit on this one to much longer, drink it up now.

July 7, 2013 - Raspberry jam, a bit of cranberry. Very small flourish mid-palate, preventing the wine from being entirely one-dimensional. I like this style of Granache for a midweek sipper; pleased at the price paid.

June 23, 2013 - I actually enjoyed this more than I expected. Maybe I went in with low expectations.
Could not hold together on day two.

June 22, 2013 - I hate to break the news to people who fell for the line that this was declassified juice from a better GSM blend, but this is 2nd rate juice at best. Heavy smells of boysenberry compote and serious alcohol come through on the nose. It has a similar palate. Very one dimensional wine, with no real nuances to speak of. This will never get more complex, because as the fruit fades the alcohol will stay. I am done buying Renegade wines. All of them seem to have this one dimensional aspect as well as the heat factor. Finished with very sweet tannins and a touch of bitterness. Drinkable, but nothing special. I think I am being quite generous with an 84.
