October 14, 2023 - 2010 Clos Erasmus. Nose was fantastic, but the palate left a little to be desired. Not over the hill, but the fruit and freshness had faded some. Still had some nice dried fruit, fig, plum etc. Drink a couple years ago
October 14, 2023 - Dark red. Modest nose of cinnamon, underbrush,and minerals. Nose more interesting than the palate. Good Grenache based red, good just not exciting
February 2, 2023 - Excellent as always. Not sure I agree with those who say it won't improve. I think it can become a bit more harmonious with age.
January 24, 2023 - Ruby-garnet, slightly translucent, no brown at the edges. Very pronounced aroma, elegant complex, with black cherry and plums predominant, just subtle oak. Medium body, soft and round, mostly black cherries, very little tannin, good acidity, perfect balance. A wine to drink now.

December 28, 2022 - I have consumed 19 bottles of this one over the course of several years. It is delicious and mature. Time to drink them. I don't see any room for improvement.

April 19, 2022 - Wine and Food Vacation…Finally!; 4/18/2022-4/21/2022: Decanted 4 hours before serving. Deep ruby to the rim. A blast of rich red berry fruit is quickly met by menthol and wintergreen which hold serve for the remainder of the bottle. Medium weight, ripe red fruit with complicating black licorice, but no trace of either alcoholic heat or surmaturité. Young still but already complex and interesting. I am extremely impressed that despite my misgivings, this wine did not come across as a high ABV bottling, a testament to its terrific balance. I’d love to taste it again 10 years down the road.
May 16, 2021 - Extremely enjoyable at 11 years in. Removed from a 55 degree active cabinet and decanted for sediment. Let sit for about 60 minutes in the decanter.
Slight brownish hue to the wine. Subdued fragrance of blackberries, camphor, olives, dark cherry, and balsamic vinegar.
This grenache/syrah blend comes across with refinement, elegance, and subtle power. Secondary characteristics of soy, mushroom, and leather starting to emerge; but the rich bold dark fruit still remains in the background. Easily has another 5-7 years to develop further complexity.
December 15, 2019 - Huge nose of BBQ soy sauce, meather, sanglier, wild game... Delicious taste of exotic wood, ripe strawberries, integrated tannin.
