  August 26, 2023 - We had this at a restaurant. I was not familiar with the producer, but both of us were surprised and pleased to be drinking this. I can see that this has been a stern wine, and the tannins and acids still have more time. But with a medium decant, this blossomed nicely as an accompaniment to red meat and potatoes. Good red cassis and earth here. Still a bit lean but promising. If I owned this wine I would lock it away for another five years and expect to discover even more beauty.

  July 22, 2023 - Tasted over 2 hrs
  -nearly semi-translucent med red mild bricking
  -wet stone raspberry and other red berries
  -med/med+ acidity lends great tension to the med/med- weight sappy tart brambly red-black fruit stony minerality, med- tannins and a whisper of oak on the moderately long finish
  -marries the red-fruited liveliness of the vintage with Serpentières rusticity, in early maturity

  November 11, 2022 - JM Madtown wrote the following about the 2009 a year or so ago - but it perfectly describes the 2010 I am drinking tonight:
  
  “ nice red fruits, including cherries and raspberries. A lovely nose of blue violets …. It still has some tannins and the acidity gives it a little bit of a dry sour finish”

  November 4, 2022 - Earthy, cherry, cranberry, mineral. Serviceable but nothing more. That being said, it isn’t that I didn’t like it, I was hoping for more pleasure from it.

  February 7, 2022 - Totally mute after opening. This has been all the time an austere wine, needs nearly an hour that red fruit appears (cherries), maybe it is due to my actual Covid positive situation with reduced olfactory means or simply the wine, that I am disappointed.
