August 30, 2014 - Double decanted about 4 hours before serving with grilled, aged ribeye steak. Nose was more open than previous bottle with plums, black cherries, leather and oak; moderate tannins in the mid-range and a very good finish. A bit of a more modern, fruit forward style, but very good wine. Purchased a case for drinking over the next 3-6 years. However, it does need extended breathing. Even better the second day.

Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of raspberries, currants, berries, plums and a hint of dark chocolate. Rich flavors of plum, currants, black berries, black raspberries and a bit of black cherry. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink with air or continue to hold.

July 14, 2014 - Holiday Spanish Wines 2014; 7/4/2014-7/21/2014: Attractive nose of violets, brambles and a touch of cassis, but rather cardboardy on the palate, dried out, lacking vitality. Nice enough, but disappointing for the price. 14%.

July 4, 2014 - Did a wine tasting with 3 other wines and then had with beef/chicken/veggie shish kebobs
When this was first opened the nose was grassy with slight berry and a spices.
The taste was very smooth berry but not big
the finish was was dry with slight tartness
After it had decanted for several hours it was opening up nicely.
The nose is again grassy but more berry. again not a big nose
the taste is still a very smooth berry with a very nice smooth finish

May 16, 2014 - Sometimes you open up a bottle and you go wow, it reminds you why you love wine and this one did it for me. It reminded me of the minerality u get with some Spanish wines, still tannic, fruit was hidden, but just smooth and excellent. short decant.2 people found this helpful Comment
