September 17, 2013 - Def an upside surprise. Nice light, crisp wine with citrus notes but not overwhelming with good balance. Nice wine - especially for the price.
June 14, 2013 - Citrus with a little sour hint at the end of each sip.
May 5, 2013 - winemaker notes say the following: The color is pale straw with golden highlights. The nose finds fresh pear and honeydew melon with flavors of mandarin orange, lemon, kiwi, pear and spice. A round entry on the palate with nice balance between acidity and residual sugar. A clean, refreshing finish.
I ordered a glass at dajio to go with some playoff hockey and an eggplant napolean- was trying for the driest, crispest wine on th e list. was expecting more of a finish from a cool climate white. Not bad- definitely get some pear and green apple and some acidity in the not-so-impressive finish. I keep trying to stray away from Marlborough and I am brought back every time. Nothing compares for me in terms of acidity, food friendliness and overall enjoyability from a white.
Had again in october/ 2013 and it's definitely better than your standard pinot grigio. Just nothing spectacular. Hard to love this wine but also hard to find anything partictularly wrong with it. decent "goes with anything light" sort of bottle.
April 6, 2013 - Hint of citrus with a little bite. Refreshing for a warm spring day with salty nuts and of course cheese!

March 26, 2013 - Hint of gold color. Alluring nose and flavor of green pear, honeysuckle, and lemon/orange citrus. Lots of perky acid in the mouth and a surprisingly long, mouthwatering finish. This isn't a watery pino gris, is a great aperitif, and will pair with seafood or chicken with some weight, such as with a remoulade.
March 13, 2013 - A bit tart to drink alone; but went very nice with pasta with asparagus and cream sauce.
January 26, 2013 - Giant Wine Sale & Tasting Cellar on Greene 1/26/2013 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): I really love this wine. Thank You King Estate and Oregon for bringing us this little jewel. This is not a high scoring blockbuster. Actually, it is kind of clear, and light like a stunning petite girl wearing a designer, sparkling ball dress in a formal room full of tall people. You have to stand back and compare to previous sensory remembrances to appreciate what is in front of you. The color is almost clear. The nose is soft and elegant combining small amounts of fresh cut pears with citrus aromas. Pure, elegant silk across the palate with pear and citrus that mimic the nose. The balancing acidity is super smooth and in the background. The finish refreshes, then slips away, almost like a sparkling wine. Only in Oregon do we get this kind of soft silky style of Pinot Gris. Depending on your palate, this wine could score any where from 85 to 93 points.
September 16, 2012 - Had at violate. Light and easy to drink.
