October 11, 2021 - Solid Syrah, holding together nicely with plush blackberry, pepper notes, long finish. Drink or hold.

August 4, 2021 - From memory: Underrated (in my opinion) Syrah, with most classic Syrah notes present, including nice meat/olive/iron elements.

May 24, 2020 - Medium (+) in weight with black huckleberry, smoked meat, dusty sage, pomegranate, warm basalt, crushed violet, cumin, and Damson plum notes. Still displays youthful exuberance with excellent purity of fruit and fine-grained tannins. Minimal oak influence and cannot detect the listed 14.5% ABV. Only bottle...wish I had more. Also wish Scott was still making wine. Beautiful stuff.

June 1, 2019 - This wine has hit a true sweet spot on its 10th birthday. THe nose is what I like most, with a burst of Asian spices. On the palate its a bit light but very pleasant, rhone in style and food friendly. Drink in the coming year

February 4, 2019 - this has lost its excess of youth and is now showing like a Northern Rhone of quality. Restrained on palate but mid-heavy structure. Deep garnet color in glass. Very nice indeed. For drinking over 1-2 years tho no signs of decline anywhere

July 30, 2018 - Unlike the previous review, this wine was a stunner, but not for everyone. Classic nerdy, aged Syrah, this was thick with asian sauces, cinnamon, cloves, smoke and burnt edges. Use your imagination to plan a meal to go with it.

July 17, 2018 - Dense and lacking finesse or obvious appeal. Stripped of fruit at this stage. A heavy laborious wine that has some appeal if you look hard

December 8, 2016 - I don't know what Gregutt had, but it wasn't what was in my bottle. Pass.

January 4, 2016 - This has progressed nicely since my initial bottle few years back. Plump & tart; excellent nose. Ready to go now.
