November 23, 2019 - An interesting and enjoyable wine. Good body with depth and richness; retains some tannin, even after twenty years. The grape taste is deep and surprisingly satisfying. The wine aged well; as it opened over two hours, the taste expanded and significantly improved. The first hour, post decanting taste was not as rich or fulfilling as the second or third. I enjoyed the wine, so did my wife.

May 26, 2012 - Tenuta dell' Ornellaia (The Wine Summit at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise): This is the second wine to the cuvée Ornellaia.
1998 was a cooler than normal year.
Saturated dark garnet - amber rim; slightly vegetal aroma, but then comes through with currant fruit; well delineated on the palate - currant fruit - soft tannins; medium finish.

Taste : fine tannins, acidity, minerality, stoniness, alcoholic, long finish
March 5, 2006 - Beautiful. Very classy. Great nose with terrific balance of new-style fruit and old fashioned spice and dust. Good mid-palate. Doesn't go on forever, but still longish.
