July 2, 2023 - Intensives, mittleres Gold, sehr feine Perlage.
Bratapfel, Brioche, nussig in der Nase, auch etwas Meeresluft/Jod, Austernschale - gefällt mir sehr, ein grossartiger Duft, sehr komplex, kommt in Wellen und ändert ständig.
Am Gaumen schönes Volumen, wieder Apfel und Hefenoten, hat einen Touch von rohem Hefeteig, dann wieder eher mineralische/Steinkomponenten, grossartige Komplexität, tolle Frische und Zug. Ein wirklich toller, eher vollmundiger Champagner, der aber tollen Zug und frische Säure hat um über den Gaumen zu tänzeln - und das zu vernünftigem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

February 5, 2023 - Drank with a NV Krug. Distinctively different wines. the Krug was quite linear. Seriously good wine, but not the most interesting wine. The Gosset was still young, quite crisp and fresh. has some time ahead adn will continue to develop. No rush...Followed these with a 90 Jim Barry Armagh and 90 Grange...all great wines
October 2, 2021 - From a beautiful magnum.
Effortlessly pretty and elegant wine, 2004 vintage majesty in all its glory , round soft rich, soft toasty but also firm and energetic. This straddles the Gout Anglais vs Francaise with grace and really is a great value too. Easy 93 and drinks at peak now but still with lots of life ahead.
April 4, 2021 - Wer gut gereifte Champagner mit einer Extraportion Frische und Mineralität sucht, wird im Hause Gosset gut bedient. Der "normale" Vintage aus 2004 ist derzeit an einem guten Punkt, einerseits gravitätisch und elegant mit feinen Reifenoten, sehr ausgewogen. Eingerahmt und besonders im Nachgang spürbar dann die herrliche Säure, eine salzige Mineralität, ein langer Nachhall. Großartiger Stoff.
January 22, 2021 - Developed colour. Rich, developed aromas. Mature but not gingerale. Surprisingly ripe core of fruit sweetness.
December 24, 2020 - Refined and steely with bracing citrus and an underlying doughy character. I think 5 years will do it well.
September 19, 2020 - Very developed colour but as expected. There’s decent acidity and bubbles, not marred by ginger flavours. Lovely lightness.
So it’s decent mature Champagne. A bit too mellow perhaps, lacks character. Not on par with the 2006.
May 24, 2020 - This is simply amazing. Gets better each time I try it.
Vinous, mature, yellow apples, stonefruit, yeast. Perfect balance. Sadly my last bottle. Buy if you get the chance you won’t regret it.
