    March 25, 2022 - The UNDEAD

Purchased from"closeout bin" due to the long time since release. Then I promptly forgot it👎. Would there be any life left in this now?
    Served with the Vinloq System

    DAY1
    👀Turbid golden brown/orange
👃Nutty with dried fruits. Fresh aromas
👅Smoky. Salty. Toffee. Nuts. Bandaids. Tea. Varnish... Totally savory. So complex. So delicious. Powerful. Channels many of the flavors in scotch whisky. Wow! Not dead yet 👻

    Vinloq Preserved bottle refrigerated until...

    DAY12
Same as DAY1. Panoramic flavor profile. Islay scotch notes. Full bodied. Begs for charcuterie plate🙂

    DAY20
Savory, salty, smoky. Rich, bold, amazing

-This was so affecting that I was having taste auras the following day each time
-I was pouring this as a sipper much as I would enjoy a scotch
-Proved to have plenty of life left. Invincible?

September 28, 2018 - low fill and a bit of seepage, and this bottle is good but not exemplary of this very fine wine. More advanced in color than it should be based on the progression of my other bottles, and the nose, although showing nice salty toffee notes, is a also lacking in vibrancy. this bottle was drinkable and good even, but compromised.

July 5, 2017 - Darker than 68 and woody. Nutty more golden than the Manzanilla wines. Really pure. Dry and salty. Nutty. Really dry finish. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 16.5/20.

April 27, 2017 - Gorgeous. Nutty caramel color now, but smells and tastes fresher than ever. At its apex I would think, as its parts are now absolutely and perfectly in harmony. In a zen like state. As graceful and beautiful of a Fino as I've ever had.

November 15, 2016 - Dinner at Bar Marta (Chicago, IL): Lot 2012 (I think -- no hablo español). Well, as far as sherry goes, this has every single damn thing you expect. A serious touch of oxidation at first, followed by plenty of nuts, orange peel, and a light touch of honey and mushroom. Tons of acidity and salinity, and dry as the desert. I think I can understand what's going on with this wine, but I personally respect this more than enjoy it.
