July 16, 2005 - Leaving NYC and moving to San Francisco; 7/16/2005-7/17/2005: A golden hue - this rich, textured, full Chardonnay didn't disappoint. With its overflowing honey coated fruit, buttered popcorn nose and long lingering finish, its easy to see why Kistler is the Queen of the Chardonnay's (even though I would take a German Riesling any day of the week). It didn't match up nearly as well as the Grand Cru with food.
