July 20, 2014 - Too young to rate. Tasted it against a a similarly aged Greer and it was riper and less structured. Needs to air out considerably. I hold high hopes for this still.

April 22, 2014 - An incredibly smooth regally-fruited Cab. Definitely on the ripe side but there's nothing out of place here. From an elevated vineyard NE of Napa, this is up there with ACV as one of the best Cabs for under $100 I've had.

February 16, 2014 - This is a baby and just starting to come around. Private tasting of Altamura wines, P&P. Rich, dark ruby, firm tannins that are both silky and chalky, refreshing acid backbone. Mostly cassis and some light chocolate and licorice on the nose. This is classically done cab and compares to young pauillac. Seeing how the 2006 has blossomed, I would give this wine some time before opening. Good QPR and long term upside. Drink 2017-2025.

December 30, 2013 - Enchanting… This is the Calif Cab Experience that most look for. Beautiful in the glass, fragrant on the nose, and great approach on first pour. I decanted for 2 hours, and this seemed just right. Had such a beautiful profile, of black and purple berry fruit, and I do get the aforementioned pie like, fruit, spice, sweetness. However, I think the mid-palate opens with a lot of secondary flavors that persist. Maybe not an "Extraordinary" Cabernet experience, but I've had Cabernet costing a lot more than this, that offered less fruit, and tons more Oak. This was very easy to drink, and enjoy.

December 14, 2013 - BIG fruit. Maybe too much? It was very raisiny at first, not very sophisticated. With time it balanced out but never let go of it's fruit grip. Was a bit too large and in charge in our Napa line up last night which included rivals from Rutherford, Oakville, and Howell Mountain. Might be interesting to see if the rascal settles down after more aging. But if you live for fruit bombes, this is your wine and drink now. Bam.
