March 27, 2024 - Keith's Italian Wine Dinner (Osteria Langhe - Chicago IL): Lots of fresh apple, lemon, and lemon peel with an overall tart character, albeit with plenty of energy and good enough weight. Wonderfully fresh for the vintage.
September 23, 2023 - Good combination of ripe and tart orchard fruits, faintly floral and spiced. Good weight throughout, ending with bright energy. Good now through the next decade.
June 28, 2023 - High acidity so needs air. Once it settles down, it was deep, rich and complex.
June 26, 2023 - Still very Flinty and mineral. Time to drink up though.
June 4, 2023 - Crisp, clean, excellent acid. Fruit on the mid palate is probably at its peak now. This will only gain tertiary notes going forward. Drink now.
April 11, 2023 - Corked. Cork was completely soaked and wine had leaked out into the cap.
Smelt like wet dog the first 10 minutes but started to show the quality that could have been.
March 16, 2023 - This is absolutely in the zone. The perfect amount of struck match greets the nose along with pure white peach and lemon fruits. The palate is direct and linear. There's a sheath of unctuous and sappy orchard fruits wrapped around a high-tensile mineral spine. It finishes with excellent cut and drives on and on.
December 18, 2022 - Only 20 min in the glass to open up. Very citrus forward with a nice finish. This is in its prime with a few more good years of drinking ahead. This is a bold wine.
November 8, 2022 - Sorry to see my last bottle go but this bottle was in a good place with plenty of years left to go. Starts off with some sulphur which blew off in 15 or 20 minutes to reveal round oarchod fruits with very nice Puligny minerality
September 5, 2022 - OK. I don't usually get overwhelmed when it comes to wine, but this bottle smashed it out of the park and is without a doubl my white wine of the year so far.
Honey dew colored
Loads of salinity and minerality off the nose. Seas shore breeze. Some lemon peel hints.
Tight, aggressive acidity, followed by a sort of breakfast brioche creaminess. The taste just won't stop. Savor each glass from cool to ambient to get the whole gradual change in the tasting profile. I can't stress enough how much I have enjoyed this bottle of wine. Only one left. It's definitely in the zone . No need to wait but it has years left for sure. Cheers from sunny Vancouver.
