November 21, 2014 - Half bottle, eaten with grilled ribeye. Vanilla, touch of exotic spice on the nose. Unexpectedly refined palate with kirsch, a bit too much sweetness for me. A little heat and good balancing acidity on the mid-palate and then medium finish. Bitter on the end. Good with sturdy food, not great on its own. Not good value.

November 8, 2014 - Either an off bottle or my taste buds are off for this one. Usually one of my favorites.

September 29, 2014 - Similar review to the last one I wrote almost a year ago. This mellowed out a little with a year in the cellar. It's not quite as harsh straight out of the bottle as it was last winter. It could certainly cellar for much longer, but is still really excellent right now. I love most of the Ridge wines as they have that ability to constantly change in the glass over time. The Geyserville seems to be the best representation of this constant change in the glass out of all the Ridge wines I have enjoyed. Cheers!
