January 15, 2024 - Drank at Copake with M & P. Dark gold in color, showing more age in glass than I expected. Aromas of buttered toast & citrus. Bigger bodied & fleshier than I expected, with notes of peach, some citrus, and butter. Lacking somewhat in acidity & a bit more flabby than I had expected. Perhaps it was just this bottle? Finish was long, with some noticeable minerality there, and only there. Hotter than I would normally like as well. I would drink up any remaining at this point.

March 31, 2020 - Limestone and butter, cream nose. Good weight and acidity on the palate. A bit racy and thin finish prevents a higher score.

March 14, 2020 - Probably a bad bottle - was tired and not fruit - i am sure it would be better than what it was usually

December 14, 2019 - Wonderfully flinty, mineralic, stoney wine, oyster shell on the finish. Crisp palate, good volume. Very grand.

February 28, 2018 - Wednesday night at ES BK. Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of wet stones minerality, buttery toast, citrus lemon. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of beeswax, honey, buttery toast, wet stones minerality, ripe yellow peach, citrus lemon. Long finish.
Good quality. Good material but lacking the acidic lift, hence rendering it too broad on the palate. Doesn't really make me want to to age it that much more.

June 18, 2015 - Fresh, wonderful balance, elegance, slightly creamy vanilla and will only get better next year. Pernot is a genius of Puligny-Montrachet in the same neighbourhood of Leflaive, Olivier Leflaive and Girardin!!!

September 18, 2014 - This has a very restrained nose, not giving much up, with slight melon rind, rocks, delicate white flowers, and apple skin; But this really shines on the palate with boat loads of crushed gravel, limestone, beautiful weight in the mouth that's impeccably balanced, voluptuous, and concentrated (but not heavy or "rich"). Intense in the mouth with a super mineral finish and slight tannins. No real oak showing. Nice restraint, great wine. 92-93

August 16, 2013 - Great floral white and yellow fruit nose but the palate is pretty fat. Yes, Puligny is character, but this is a bit viscous and broad. Missing that chiseled fruit, minerality, and some bite. Needs to lean out, the fruit needs to fade a bit, the acid needs to emerge. Reminds me of fat Ramey chardonnay. This needs cellar time and some positive evolution. Drank over two days.
