November 19, 2020 - Quite a bit of funky Brett

January 25, 2020 - Over the hill but still an interesting and elegant wine. Nose is muted with blueberries, herbs, dried potpourri and cherries. Palette with black cherry, blood orange, stewed tomato, elegant tannins. Tobacco, citrus on the finish. Still has good acidity. Never had a frappato with some age on it but it’s a shame not to have drunk it 2 years ago when I know it would’ve made my heart ache.

February 18, 2018 - Fading fast. Probably peaked a year or two ago

October 16, 2017 - China King. This bottle on the downslope unfortunately.

    August 8, 2017 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-nearly semi-translucent med dark red mild bricking
-muted candied rhubarb with mature elements creeping in
-med/med+ acidity, lighter weight vibrant subdued dark fruit rhubarb remnants with vinyl and toasted grain, faint tannic structure
-much less expressive now with some evidence of maturity, this bottle drinking well now but more advanced than a bottle a year ago and probably little if any upside with additional aging
