November 14, 2020 - From 75cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanted 1 hour, stable until final drop. Gorgeous chalky-lemony villages Puligny, rather full, even a touch of mid-palate sweetness, fine gentle bitter-minerality on the finish. Just lacking the concentration and precision of a 1. Cru (duh...) Good villages Puligny is so much more to my taste than any other "entry-level" Chardonnay I have ever tasted it's not hard to see why it is so expensive. Indeed, I'd be happy if I could afford to drink this every weekday, progressing of course to a 1. Cru at weekends, Bâtard-Montrachet when guests come, and Le Montrachet on birthdays and public holidays. Dream on. 90(-91P, but not quite)

December 27, 2018 - Drank 7 of these over the past few months and all were great. Overachiever and 92 is probably too conservative. So enjoyable.

September 18, 2018 - This is just so up my alley. Multiple bottles over the past few months have all showed great.

April 27, 2018 - This continues to slowly unwind and improve with each passing year. Unfortunately, my last blt and checking wine searcher the 14/15's sell for $75+ vs. the $60 I paid for this. Still a paler shade of gold and very healthy. The nose is clean along with attractive floral and citrus notes. The palate remains highly energized and intense with bold acidity, minerality and an array of citrus flavors. This really could use another 3 years+ but I'll never find out. Classic white Burgundy from 40yr old+ vines in Puligny Montrachet. Even so, quite enjoyable tonight with pan seared halibut and Nita's crunchy romaine salad. 92-.
