March 19, 2024 - Ripe cherry, cedar, and a musky note. The finish is medium with a rose petal smoothness. Very light tannins remaining.

October 14, 2023 - Drinking very well. Out of the bottle and with some air… very good juice.

April 30, 2023 - decanted and poured, smooth, well balanced with a bit of tannic bite at the end. Drinking well, but no hurry

September 5, 2020 - Still youthful. Very big fruit present, 10 years in. Tannins are firm along with significant acid, suggesting this has solid 8-10 years left in it. I will give it 4 more years before opening another - it’s just too young for my taste tonight. The acid really asks for food, so open this with dinner.

August 7, 2020 - Sad that this was my last of 4 bottles. Solid as always. Mostly red fruited but some blue fruit notes as well. Nice balance and good energy. Not as many secondary flavors in this bottle.

February 20, 2020 - Opened and poured. A bit thin compared to the 2009. Certainly has some pedigree, but not quite the depth and intensity a first class cabernet should have. Reds and some blues on the nose...weak in the mid palate and finish....ok.

December 31, 2018 - Drank after a 2005 Schrader. In comparison, this was bigger, bolder, but not nearly as integrated. Touch of heat on the nose, a bit oak/vanilla on the finish. Nice, but seemed to need a couple more years to come together.

June 18, 2018 - Nice big cali cab. PNP and drank by the pool for father's day. Nothing profound but certainly very solid. This has years to go, so no rush

September 4, 2017 - A pleasant wine for sure. Unfortunately drank this one after a quilceda palengat and not surprisingly it didn't hold up. Still a very nicely integrated wine with red fruits and soft tannins. A long but linear finish. Drink now.

April 18, 2017 - Pnp. Nice structure and acidity adding lift on a plus finish. Red and black fruits with lots of cassis. Vanilla cafe au lait. Some toasty carmel notes on the finish. Fragrant nose.
