    Tasted non blind.

Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout with tiny, steady beading. Nose of dough, lychee, a tiny splash of sherry and mixed yellow fruits. Flavors of lemon, cherry and mixed yellow fruits. Bright acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold.

September 17, 2014 - Rich, smoky, spicy, this is really composed, broad but with authority and tension. Really excellent and/but with a hefty dose of that oxidation...I don't have enough experience with these to know whether that's going to protect it in a long life or kill it early. I guess we'll see.

September 12, 2014 - Second time tasted with consistent notes. Such a gorgeous, rich, but still so young Grand Annee. Nose opens up nicely after 30 minutes to reveal fresh ginger, candied lemon peel, caramel apple, salted toffee, butterscotch, saline, lime zest and apple strudel. Palate still has screaming acid with very well measured dosage (feels like 8 g/l). Drinking well today, but optimal drinking is still a few years down the line. Definitely has the potential to be classic. 94 points today. 95 - 96 is in it's future.

September 9, 2014 - Quite explosive mousse. Weightless and fresh. Some characteristic oxidized notes with a wonderful nuttiness. Classic Grande Annee. Deg. july 2012.

September 7, 2014 - Deg. May 2013: This bottle was quite youthful and does not have the oxidative notes the Oct. 2012 degorged bottles have. Golden in color. Nose of white flowers, yeast, and toasted bread. Very nice balance and complex flavors. For a Brut, the dosage does not seem too high. All in all a great Champagne at a very early drinking phase. Overall a good PVR.
