August 8, 2016 - Not familiar with this producer. For a cold-climate cab franc, this is fairly warm and fruity. There is fresh and candied red cherry on the nose accompanied by a faint trace of green leafs, and pepper. Palate is a red cherry on entry, but hollow in the middle and with a brief ending. not sure what to make of it. it is a decent wine, but was expecting more. Does not seem to me to hold much structure to indicate a long life, but again not that familiar with Chinon or this producer in particular. Judging whats in the glass tonight we are at 86-87p

July 7, 2016 - Largely agree with R&Rler. Shared same btl. I just felt that its old school structure was a bit too out front to fully enjoy right now, for my palate. Great potential here but needs time....for my palate.

July 7, 2016 - Pizza Night in the North Loop (Dave's Place, Mpls): DArk red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. This got progressively better through the night, I had intended to decant, but that just didn't work out. There's a nice touch of earth here, pleasant cigar aromas, a little scorched earth and smoke, dark red berry fruits. The palate near full bodied, round yet still with a leaner energy, dark red fruits, firm but very fine grained tannins, medium plus finish. Boy, there's a lot going on here and it is drinking well now already, though this shows quite a bit of potential for aging. I was liking this a lot. 91+pts.

March 5, 2016 - Best showing I've had from this since release. The fragrance is haunting - piercing intensity and such complexity of flavour, with an array of green forestal, leafy, and herbal notes mingled with dark berried fruit and earth. The palate doesn't quite live up to the aromatics just yet - it feels a bit reserved in contrast with some fine grained tannin clamping down on the finish, but it still has that lightness and finesse that I always find in this bottling. Wonderful balance, but plenty of time and upside ahead.

April 30, 2015 - Very brief notes from TTTG (blind) (Vernon, CT): Very reticent nose that eventually reveals much more savoury and earthy notes than fruit. Very nice mouthfeel; some cherry. Long finish that ends with a good dose of minerality. Good now but with much better potential. Hold.
