    September 25, 2016 - I was a bit concerned this was past its prime, but it was actually quite good, although I suspect it might have been better had I opened it a year or 2 sooner. As others noted, it was remarkably dark for a 17 year old wine. The nose was fruity, though delicate in both aroma and intensity. The wine itself was very smooth with just a hint of tannins. Consumed this with a beef pot roast, and it was a great pairing.
