January 16, 2009 - This was an amazing find in the wine cooler. Brilliant yellow straw in color- approaching golden. Citrus aromas of lime and lemon butter. Tropical fruit flavors and honey with aromas of mineral, flint, and vanilla bean with a hint of apricot. Winery suggested to drink through 2006- but this was an excellent wine given its age. Still possessed freshness and brisk acidity.

August 25, 2007 - Very nice with grilled chicken breasts with olive oil and garlic. A touch of crispness, falling away to long lasting fruit.

July 15, 2007 - Nice fruit, a touch of oak, very nice, though a little warm (my fault).

June 24, 2007 - An impressive Chardonnay from Flowers that possesses all of the quality I have come to expect from this fine winery. Named after the mothers of the winemakers this Chardonnay presents all of the features and flavors one would seek in this varietal. Brilliant, slightly straw color. Citrus aromas of lime and lemon butter. Subtle notes of melon and apricot. Some notes of vanilla, mineral and flint.Tropical fruit flavors with some honey and a long finsh with crisp acidity.

May 19, 2007 - A little flabby, but quite nice after about an hour in the glass. Not my favorite of theirs, but quite good.

June 2, 2006 - This was the first bottle of the Andreen-Gale Cuvee from Flowers I have opened and tasted. It was chilled and needed to open and warm a bit to come out. A discreet nose and boquet. Taste was buttery and full, an accurate example of a Californian Chardonnay. It gained more flavor and complexity as it warmed in the glass. Great overall balance and flavor.
