Community Tasting Notes 20

April 17, 2011 - Full-on golden at this point. Nose has a boatload of pineapple and other tropical fruits. Buttered toast. Pretty weighty. The tropical fruits are present, not especially fresh at this point, slathered in buttercream, coconut. There's some hazelnuttiness. While there is some oxidative age on this, it's actually still put together rather well.

December 13, 2010 - Oxidizing, but still has some fruit and interesting character.

October 26, 2008 - This waine has started to tire. Medium straw colour, looking a little faded & confirmed on the nose with just a hint of early oxidation. Full on the palate & still well bablnced. Drink up.

September 23, 2007 - Nice Catena chard. Good balance between fruit and acid. Some depth, not not a ton. Prior vintages have been better. Will not buy more of this vintage. Try next one.

May 11, 2007 - I've had this bottle for some time, had it after a bottle of Barefoot Chardonnay and this felt like a major upgrade. There were some signs of aging, some raisinated flavors but overall it was very good. There were apple, coconut and stone fruit notes, accompanied by butter, vanilla and oak. Would buy again.
