February 21, 2018 - Medium light ruby with a light bramble nose. Dry, tart red currants, ripe straw berries and some cane tannins. Sour sorrel, balsam, cane pith contribute to the freshness and balance of the fruit and acid.

May 28, 2017 - Updated: on day 2, no question, this wine is corked.

My wife's nose is better than mine and she claimed to detect the faintest hint of cork taint when we opened this. Although I didn't smell TCA, the wine definitely came across as a bit muted on the nose, lacking the strong strawberry scents mentioned in many other tasting notes. Pale garnet in the glass, nice balance of fruit and acidity, but again a bit muted and muddled. I'm a fan of the 2011 vintage and have several more of these, so I'll cross my fingers for better results.

February 14, 2014 - Floral strawberry confection on the nose. High-toned strawberry, earth, and spice in the mouth. This is simple, honest Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

March 24, 2013 - Smells distinctly Oregon but shows brighter cherry components on the nose and a bit of burnt wood. The palate shows bright cherry and raspberry fruit. Pretty intense for a 2011, which pairs nicely with the stronger acidity and tannic structure this wine carries. As the structure relaxes in the finish there is a touch of sweet red fruit left over which is quite nice. This is one I would age.

January 17, 2013 - 2 Days in the Valley- Day 2 (Willamette Valley, OR): Nose: Perfumed and very pretty nose with tones of red fruits, strawberries, rose petals, spices, and a touch of herbs as well. Nice depth even with this being on the tighter side.

Taste: While this has a lighter body to it, it is very elegant with a deftness on the palate. There is noticeable medium/high acidity and silky tones of red fruits, strawberries, roses, and some spice tones as well.

Overall: This can be a real gorgeous wine with some time to it. It will never blow you away with sheer force, instead it favors nuance and elegance to entice you.
