October 28, 2022 - much like previous notes but softer, rounder; tannin-edged sweetnees is beguiling; at peak

June 17, 2018 - A bit past its prime but still excellent. In one word: elegant. Dark red with mature red fruit on the nose: ripe raspberry, and plum. On the palate: extremely smooth with just enough structure left but no tannin. Dark red fruit plus hints of licorice and tobacco in the medium + finish.

January 24, 2018 - much like previous note but with fine mineral edge more evident and more depth of flavour which still has lively, round, zesty fruit, with hints of chocolate and allspice, tannin more resolved but still present. soft, fruity finish is quite pleasant.

November 13, 2016 - Probably t the back end of the drinking window. Vert nice it is too. Round, supple and the CabSauv is giving it some structure while the malbec is mostly fully resolved.

July 27, 2015 - sensual, ripe, plummy blackberryish nose with touch of oak initially, but some enticing floral notes emerge with airing. smooth, dense, rich mouthful, well structured with soft but noticeable tannins; tasty initial fruit with hint of sweetness is somewhat lacking in depth and complexity and a bit of a letdown after beguiling bouquet, but much better than most more expensive Cal reds. just fully mature but should have considerable life left if well stored.
