March 8, 2016 - Way, way too young. There is a ton in there, but it's got a ways to go for everything to come together. I've been trying some of my super seconds lately- DB4, Matriarch- and then the Maiden. In each case, the big brothers are clearly better- more focus and purity of fruit, better integration, but the juniors are worthy. The bigger brothers come around sooner in my experience, and the Maiden in my opinion clearly should wait for a while. Unless you like luscious and young. Then go for it. But I think other than experimenting it's wasting this wine to drink for another few years at least.

December 31, 2015 - Young. Might be in a dumb phase right now. Try again in 3-5 years.

February 13, 2015 - As Valentine's day approaches, sometimes a girl just has to treat herself like the expensive Maiden saved in the cellar for a "special day!" On a reflective night The Maiden can make loneliness slip away into the warm velvet blanket of this Cult Wine Classic. Whether you like the hype or think this is worth the price, drink it with friends and impress, or alone and remind yourself YOU are worth it!

January 17, 2015 - A voluptuous and impressive wine. Concentrated but not flabby, nicely judged. Delicious.
