August 19, 2016 - Drank the last bottle of this. In reviewing my last note from 2014, not much has changed...maybe a bit more integrated. Nice aromas upon opening (fully decanted) and wine had a nice palate, albeit a little short. We left the last half of the bottle out for several hours in the decanter - when I poured the last glass at the end of the evening, noticed a little heat. For me, this is maybe a $25 wine. Good at that price, but average at the $40 we paid.

May 23, 2016 - - It's balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture with a short finish - Nice merlot. Requires some breathing time and then becomes silky smooth and fruit with a hint of caramel.

January 1, 2016 - Inky, black-tinged plum color with blood-ruby meniscus; some TCA at first sniff, blowing off to reveal a nose of tart berry, savory-sausage and ethyl; rich, structured, tart cherry, pancetta and lavender palate with a long semisweet chocolate and cherry cola finish. Huge mouthfeel. This bottle was still somewhat tight; I'd be willing to give it 1-3 more years and see how it develops.

December 15, 2015 - Pulled this out of the cellar, popped and poured and was wowed! Surprisingly robust for a Merlot. Very good texture in the mouth with just the right amount of acidity and tannins. Solid dark fruits. Drink now. I will look for a few more bottles from this vintage.
