November 10, 2022 - Fantastic!
Decanted upfront thinking sediment would be an issue. Needed an hour to really shine! Well kept bottle.
October 1, 2021 - This wine was purchased 7 years ago and hidden away in the cellar and was way off the radar. I prepped for disappointment (given the drinking window) but was pleasantly surprised to find the wine remained vibrant. Went very well with a marinated flank steak. Not surprisingly, it was very well integrated. If you are lucky enough to still have a bottle, drink up!
November 16, 2020 - Honestly, this classic Merlot was truly perfect. Dark plums almost jam like; simple floral that improved with decant. Much better than anticipated and surely worthy with ten years of aging. Am not a Merlot fan, but Duckhorn will convince you that it's worth the Journey.
January 5, 2019 - Similaire au 2007 bu il y a quelques années,
boisé et simplet, voir trop facile.
Ne m'a pas plu par son manque d'acidité et de fraicheur.
September 24, 2018 - Really nice merlot
July 9, 2018 - PnP, but opened during the meal -- suggest a short decant. Lots of dark cherry, plum, and just a touch of vanilla. Body is medium to plus, with good acidity, well integrated tannin, and a feeling of balance. Interesting, but not exciting. Probably won't get better, but should hold for a year or two.
July 8, 2018 - wonderful, full-bodied; dark fruit; not tart
February 11, 2018 - Still drinking nicely. Just another solid Duckhorn Merlot that also meets expectations and is a solid wine.
January 12, 2018 - what more can I say
August 28, 2017 - The steaks are sweating, the wine is breathing and... the wife is still at work. May need to open another bottle for dinner if she is delayed much longer. 2010 Duckhorn Merlot Napa Valley in the glass. A pleasant surprise. Solid merlot with vanilla, cherry and plum flavors. Still going strong with another two to three years left.
