August 13, 2023 - My run of subpar and/or flawed Constant wines remains unbroken. Oh the perils of the secondary market.
May 5, 2020 - Drinking great. Still full bodied, but no rough edges.
April 2, 2020 - May have peaked. Strong start with a less strong finish.
December 25, 2019 - Outstanding!
July 5, 2019 - 94++ Really showing well but not sure for how long - nose is dark fruit, blackberry and cassis, palate follows, dark fruit predominant, a touch of it stewed, good balance, a touch hot on the back. Fully integrated. Not sure I would hold my bottles for much longer, this should be the prime drinking window and was well-appreciated by the table.
May 17, 2019 - Intriguing. We opened this up with a friend and former client. Decanted and poured almost right away. And I thought it was really just ok in that style. Felt a bit overdone to me. Didn't get through the decanter so we left it out in the decanter since we had a wine event the next day. With that extra day of air this was actually drinking really well. Get the power of the mountain fruit, but not the totally overdone style. More balanced. Quite nice. So now I'm wondering do we need to sit on remaining bottles and get them some more age. Hmmmm....
March 28, 2019 - nutmeg, metallic, iron,salt cherry
a superior wine
March 19, 2019 - Lots of blackberry, along with some oak bpth on the nose and palate. This is a big wine, so decant and give plenty of air. Serve with a steak and hearty sides. More time might help this develop more but it will never be a soft, nuanced Bordeaux.
September 12, 2018 - Great nose. Body great impressive
February 3, 2018 - Aged Barolo (aka Q1 wine club) (The Apt): Been awhile since we've had one of these and I must say it was nice to try again. Lots of darker red fruits and more of a mouthful and still tasty. Not sure it's really evolved over the years, but still holding on and tasty.
