    May 1, 2010 - Shared this magnum with family over dinner -- decanted for about an hour first. Very much in the pinot side of the world, but actually better than the single Acacia pinots that we sampled while at the winery. Great ruby color,exhibits some legs (but alcohol is definetly not in your face by any stretch), great fruity nose, yet not a lot of fruit on palate. Poured with pork tenderloin w/a cranberry balsamic reduction -- held it's own, yet didn't stand harshly against any of the flavors of the food. A great medium bodied food wine that had a crisp short finish and didn't exhibit any tannins or overt oakiness to sedate or overwhelm the palate. Good balance between the red berries and earthiness, with enough structure to make it interesting with food or on its own, but not a barn-burner must have pinot. Great party or casual dinner drink at retail $25.
