  December 14, 2017 - HDH auction tasting at Spiaggia; 12/14/2017-12/16/2017 (Chicago, IL): Good red fruit on the nose -- this reminds me of 2008s in their crunchiness, but this is certainly marred by the nasty ladybug smell. The palate actually isn't as green as many 2011s, but it suffers from some bad acidity and bitterness, as well as an abrasiveness that is really unpleasant. There is some odd chemical quality that I am not a fan of here too, but it's not the overt green that I've found in other 2011s.
