May 11, 2024 - No notes. Generously shared. First aged and village lieu dit from Coche. An absolute treat to taste, color dark as you would expect from a ~25 year young wine but the palate was extremely young which was mind bending. A bit less concentrated and a sharper linear expression than I was expecting. Hold?

February 28, 2024 - Acker "Paulee" Burgundy Dinner (Capital Seafood - Beverly Hills CA): Paulee style dinner. Mostly mature start, fresher on the palate, this has a wonderful and long finish. No further upside.

November 24, 2023 - What a beautiful beast! Massive viscosity, the kind of wine you can drink with a fork. Palate is similarly intense, if it lacks for anything it’s tension. I adore this wine and would be even more effusive about it if I hadn’t had 2005 a couple of times in recent months - and 05 is even more exceptional.

June 24, 2022 - leaner and more minerality. Shorter finish vs 99 chevelieres. Oily

March 10, 2022 - Zachy's La Paulee 2022 (Le Bernardin Prive): 01573 (original release?). More Coche than the two bottles of CC. Super gunflint, bursting with nuclear level of concentration power. Razor sharp and clean. Bang, so intense, this is Coche! 93-94

August 10, 2021 - The 99 Rougeots possesses a huge, Cochey, reductive nose, quite big, full of lemon and pear. The palate shows an intriguing, slightly curious note on the plate - almost like green curry, but in a good way, and it certainly adds complexity.

June 22, 2019 - We had a bottle from the same case last year and this didn't show as well. There was a touch of flint, tropical fruit and lemon cream on the nose but as expressive. The palate was nice, with concentrated yellow stone fruit but again it was hard to see the Coche characteristics in this although in its own right a very good bottle of aged white burgundy.
