July 1, 2023 - Very nice surprise. Really good showing. Surprisingly youthful, good clean citrus lime. Not overly oaked or worked. Maybe a touch disjointed, the acidity slightly raw on the finish.

December 24, 2018 - Wow, very youthful, and a dead ringer for a top quality Chablis - medium yellow, flinty, lime zest, citrus nose - def a lot of minerality going on - palate is very crisp, very youthful - this could go another 20 years!! - long finish - a vaguely soap gum element to the minerals and citrus pith and essential oil - very pure, very deep flavours - I wish we'd have waited, this might've been even better in a few years

October 12, 2018 - Medium yellow. Pronounced aromas of stone fruit, vanilla, butter, smoke, nuts. Developing. Dry palate, medium + acidity, medium alcohol, medium + body, pronounced flavours similar to the nose, perhaps some more tropical fruits too. Long finish. Outstanding Chardonnay, very well made, good fruit concentration balanced by the acidity, oak well integrated, starting to develop tertiary complexity, but definitely has the structure and concentration to age for many years to come. So nice to have a really good Chardonnay with several years of life that has absolutely no hint of premature oxidation. Why do I continue to buy Burgundy???

December 22, 2016 - Bright straw-green; has the poised elegance that has become the hallmark of Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay, every component finely detailed and in balance with every other component; it is driven by its stone fruit in the first instance, but with oak and acidity also contributing to the texture and complexity of the wine."

September 5, 2014 - Light straw colour. Nose of popcorn and pineapple. Balanced but rich exotic fruits and butter on palate. No minerality that gives it away as new world vs burgundy (otherwise on par). Ultimately how much you like this will depend on your stylistic preference but this is a very nice new world chard.

October 3, 2013 - six nations tasting - (pyrmont wharf, sydney): lemon, citrus butter, oak spice. Bitter and tart. Disjointed at the mo' but history teaches me that this will turn out alright

February 9, 2013 - Very clean, powerful, balanced, chardonnay with great fruit intensity, balanced acid, spot on palate weight and oak levels. Long. Very drinkable now, but should gain some more complexity if held. Top notch MR chard.
