November 30, 2021 - A nice white Bordeaux, but probably a bit past its prime. Still balanced and complex, with less intensity than when I last tasted it a couple of years ago. Fat texture, lacks a bit of tension and energy. A touch of slight oxidation I think, but still enjoyable to drink. Just not a good value though.

February 9, 2021 - 2001 20-years on Commanderie dinner. White to start the dinner (not 2001). Expressive nose, overtly herbal, rosemary, thyme, fennel. There is also an oxidative, nutty touch here that increased fast as the wine sat in the glass. If you own this, I would not wait much longer to drink this up.

October 15, 2020 - 2009 Bordeaux Night (plus some nice bonus wines) (A Pristine, COVID-Safe Setting Somewhere in Los Olivos): Everything I look for in a Bordeaux blanc. Youthful nose of citrus and grass, complemented by an appealing nuttiness, and plenty of spice presumably reflecting the oak treatment. More citrus and oak notes on the palate, layered and concentrated. The viscous texture was a highlight for me. Very long finish. Should last for a decade+ with ease.

December 16, 2019 - Salty nose with nuts, flowers. Overall too oxidative for my liking. Should it be that way?

May 21, 2017 - This was a bottle a purchased just out of sheer curiosity .... glad I did !

+ Preparation : took out of cellar and first two glasses at 12°C, remaining more chilled
+ Colour : what we would call "straw yellow", light clingy to the glass
+ Nose : smoky, zest of citrus, somewhat restrained though
+ Taste : a winner, somewhat "fatty" and mineral, slightly smoky, lovely acidity, mango, passion fruit.
Also, there is a quite an abundance of "saltiness" to be found, some slight oxidation
+ Finish : great and long finish, lasts a lifetime, also the "saltiness" returns here, very interesting

All in all, a great experiment. Especially for someone accustomed to white Pessac wines.
Still, I get the feeling this must have been even better 2-3 years ago. Fuller and opulent.

To conclude, it did deliver up to my expectations, hence I'm rating it up to 94/100.

September 1, 2016 - A very nice surprise, and a great white from Bordeaux. This wine is very well balanced, and offers a real harmony between richness and tension. Aromas of citrus and white flowers, it is delicate and pure, deep and fresh, long and vibrant. Much better than what I thought, and one of the finest white I have tasted from Bordeaux.

    September 19, 2013 - Cos dinner
Smoked gooseberry on nose. Melon, grass. Spiced oak notes. Med acid, clean - oak seemed to dominate more with time in glass.

May 22, 2013 - Due to the increase in production, this is the first vintage of Cos Blanc to be offered as a future. The price is lower too. Produced from a blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, fresh squeezed lemons, grapefruit, kiwi and lemon grass scents dominate the fresh, forward styled wine.
