May 25, 2012 - Popped and poured. Medium red; a bit fading to brown on the edge. Sour cherry, iron, and mineral on the nose; medium bodied on the palate with herbs and spice rather than fruit at age 11; a bit of drying tannins and perhaps some alcohol on the finish. Not nearly as heavy as many Kistlers, more complexity but not for lovers of sweet fruit in Pinot Noirs. Probably a bit past its peak.

November 11, 2011 - Still deep garnet color. Very slight brown rim. Nose and palate very thick, rich and viscous. Drinking ok - not sure if it will improve with age.
