  March 21, 2014 - This is the second bottle of this vintage that I have had, and now I know that my first bottle was flawed as I suspected at the time (see my previous tasting note). This bottle was lovely, with a beautifully clean and dry melon, saline, and wood flavors. An excellent food wine with an outstanding QPR.

  December 1, 2013 - I love the Audoin wines, and I have had several past vintages of the white Marsannay that I have enjoyed very much. However, the bottle of 2010 that I had was either flawed or in need of a lot of additional aging. Potent anise/liquorice flavors, and an overpowering amount of oak. The flavors did calm down somewhat after about 90 minutes of air, but I can't say this was ever what I was expecting/hoping for. Having read the Burghound review of this wine (which sounded nothing like this), I'm guessing that this was just an off bottle. But I would be interested to hear if others have experience with this wine.

  April 27, 2013 - 13.5%- Clear, light gold / clean, med intensity - meyer lemon, mineral, ginger, it's got a little spicy kick / dry, high zippy acidity, med body, med+ intensity, med to long length, very creamy texture and saline mineral finish. This is very good, especially with the lobster and pastis and herbs butter. 89+
  The 2010 Marsannay is more racy and doesn't seem to have the 09 nuttiness and caramel finish that came with riper grapes.
  This one being a mix of four different lots, I'd like to re-taste the 2010 Au Champs Salomon that I had last December aside that one.
