March 15, 2017 - Nose: polished wood furniture, almond peel, slightly burnt hair (think hot blow drier gotten too close). I agree with the figs.
Palate: like liquefied molasses, slightly burnt, but only the mineral and earthy aspect of it, nothing sugary at all, only some citrus. Dry rusty finish, subtle cask sweetness, more sour than dry actually, a slight, petrolic bitterness.
Compared to the Olorosos I know a little lacking in concentration and too petrolic. Probably peaked on day 3 when I was almost convinced, but finishing it tonight on day 9, I think I can safely say I won't buy again. Seems like sherry other than full on oloroso is not my thing, though.

December 20, 2016 - Bright, rich, and layered, with flavors of dried fruit, orange rind, black tea, toasted almonds, and a hint of furniture polish. Slightly hot at room temperature, but alcohol recedes when served at cellar temperature. Good value.

November 13, 2016 - On the nose I get some figs, salted almonds, black tea av oranges. On the palate almost, but not quite dry, semi-rich with fairly good complexity. High acidity keeps things fresh. Medium length.
