November 2, 2013 - This wine in my opinion is ready to drink today. Decanted for 3 hours, and over a 5 course meal, and battling 2 other great cabs (Larkmead 2009 cab, and Rattlesnake 2010 Barnett)
The wine looks Inky colored. The legs are Slow. On the nose, It smells like Forest floor, Mineral, and Light toast. The body is Medium. The wine has Silky texture. The wine finishes Long.

October 28, 2013 - worst vintage I have had....yet very good. Give this some time. Mineral driven, fine tobacco, aged fruit, and firm tannins on the end.

September 28, 2013 - My brother-in-law, a dedicated Mets fan, brought this over to try.

Opaque purple at the core, lightening out to ruby purple on the rim.

Full throttle on the nose, blackberry fruit & alcohol.

Pretty smooth on the palate, although it does have a touch of heat on the back end. Not exactly in my wheelhouse, but had to try it just out of curiosity. Hopefully they don't revoke my membership as a card-carrying AFWE.

September 20, 2013 - This wine needs time. It took about six hours to open up but when it did, BOOM. Big nose of dark berries, blueberries, chocolate, and some ash. The palate is big, thick and satisfying. Ripe red fruits, oak, smoke, baking spices. Delicious. Long. Some chewy tannins. I really like it.
