  November 17, 2023 - Troplong Mondot: 1959-2012 (Stockholm, Sweden): Semi-blind (knew which 17 vintages that were being served).
  
  Dark colour.
  Starts out anonymously. Especially in the company!
  In the mouth: Oh, it's a racehorse! Feels completely unredeemed and a bit linear (in the company). Tastes like a simpler vintage but is pure, beautiful and elegant. The intensity of this wine is enticing. Has that tar-cassis-tobacco that is exactly what the better left bank Bdx wines develop in better years.

  November 26, 2022 - Deep garnet in the glass. Developed nose showing dried cranberry, forest floor, shiitake mushroom, baking spices. Palate is soft, with an acidity disjointed from the fruit and alcohol. A prime example of a wine way past its best, but still drinkable. Interesting to try, but not to come back to.

  September 12, 2022 - always difficult when your competitor is a great wine....it had to battle with vieux certan 1983 and the certan blow it away.... it had no nose ( but no oxcidation ) and no length ....

  October 24, 2019 - Troplong Mondot Dinner and Tasting (Private apt in NYC): This is another nice win. Good aged Bordeaux. Not quite in the league of the '86 or '89 but enjoyable nonetheless. It's more in the secondary or maybe even tertiary spot. Lots of old library and maybe even a hint of dried leaves. Still good.

  April 23, 2016 - BORDEAUX ANNI 80 (WINETIP - MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. Ha bisogno di molta aria, parte un pochino terziarizzato su un registro maturo di datteri, carrube e fichi. La bocca è divisa in due tra l' ingresso magro, quasi annacquato, ma si espande e amplifica nel retrobocca con una persistenza molto lunga.
