  January 1, 2016 - Racy on the nose, but a little sharp on the palatte, with the salty tang that I've noticed in other 1996 Saint Emilions. Pleasant, but probably past its peak. Still, a nice, rhyming way to greet 2016.

  October 22, 2007 - Purchased on release for $24. Lean and minerally, with faint black currant fruit. Some iodine and metallic notes on the finish. Probably past its prime. Drink up.

  January 27, 2007 - We really enjoyed this wine which had a classic medium bodied bordeaux taste. Sweet black cherries, toast, herby flavor with a very nice texture - softer than others. Very consistent throughout evening - we didn't decant.

  September 1, 2006 - Still fairly youthful out of a magnum bottle. Medium bodied. Cherry and plum fruit, some secondary aromas of pencil lead. Enjoyable, but unburdened by complexity.
