August 13, 2023 - Best bottle (Weindorf Kirchheim): Glass: Gabriel Standard
Popped and poured. Clear, deep yellow advanced color. Ripe nose, crushed stones, tart, some stone fruit. On the palate very ripe, good tension, nice pressure, lots of crushed stones, balanced, very long finish. Best Schlehdorn I had so far, but: This is at its very peak and will not continue to evolve. Not sure whether a top notch Riesling should be that way... 93-94

July 17, 2021 - 10 years after Riesling tasting - 2011 (Restaurant Waldhorn, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Sophienwald Universal
Bottle double decanted about 7h before the tasting. Bought at release, perfectly stored.
Clear, deep golden color. Oxidative, musty notes, lots of mellow apple. Not flawed, but quite deep and complex.
On the palate rose hip, mellow apple, zests. Very deep and mineral. Quite expressive and long. Certainly on its peak now. Not much potential, so drink now. 92-93
