September 8, 2016 - great nose; medium body; big and complex, but a bit too much (for my taste) not fully integrated oak makes it less than ethereal. Likely better with time.

August 21, 2016 - Beautifully perfumed nose, with dark fruits, nutmeg, and rose petal notes. All these notes come through on the complex palate, with a long, complex finish.

This drinks as well as many of the single vineyard bottlings. In a great spot right now, but will hold for several years yet. Another year might round it out and bring it to its peak, but if you like a bit more tannin on your Pinots, drink now.

Fantastic wine at a fair price.

August 14, 2016 - P/decanted into carafe for 10 hrs. and returned to bottle. Served cool. Clear, bright ruby/purple color. Nice CA Pinot nose. Better after glass swirling and more air time. Another example of how the 2011's have evolved from thin/contorted to a finely balanced, integrated and very decent vintage. Only now are the 11's showing well. Med body/flavor intensity, clean finish. Nice mixed fruit profile without too much extraction or earthy saddle. Mature, good drinking window. Drink now or in the next few years. Nothing off. $73 incl, shipping.

July 21, 2016 - PnP. Dark fruits on the nose; lovely restrained palate presence. Still a bit clenched but quite good. Oak not overly intrusive.

March 27, 2016 - More roasted than I would have expected. After half a bottle we gassed it up, put the cork in, put in the fridge. Very clean the second day, roasted quality was gone
