October 19, 2023 - Just so pure as Rousseau always is - a treat just coming into maturity.

August 10, 2023 - Blind. Morey characrter without much of the Rousseau blue fruit, decent alcohol level, somewhat cooler vintage, showing jammy red fruit and gamey earthiness with air. Could not bring myself to guess Rousseau, then again this is the least Rousseau vintage. Ponsot CDLR 2011? Almost there! 93

April 28, 2023 - Bottle breathe for 1 hour, and double decant before serving. Similar note. The nose and palate kept changing, and the full "cherry blossom" around 1.5 hour after serving. The scene of Blowing scent of narcissus were exploding, and the palate is full body with candy, red fruit, wood and leather. Finishing with spice and long. Peak in 2-2.5 hours. Very nice to drink now

April 19, 2023 - Slow oxed for an hour, pretty color - light red/pink, elegant & sophisticated perfumed nose of red cherries, sandalwood, 5-spice powder, silky finesse palate, not a powerhouse, still young, an evening of stellar wines including 08 Ch Rayas, 96 Ch Margaux & 01 Comte Vogue Musigny

March 31, 2023 - An evening winning the wine 🍷 lottery: finding a mature Armand Rousseau Clos de la Roche at a restaurant & wine bar - at yesteryears price 😁
Enjoyed it in front of the fireplace at the bar. No decanting to enable following it. Deep red with beginning mature yellow brown coloration.
On the nose cherries, sandalwood, earthy notes and just heavenly perfume. On the palate it took 15-20 minutes in the glass to open, and then it developed over the following hours. Earthly notes, leather - super balance and velvety. Taking a sip with air makes it broaden its tannin and it expands like stepping on the pedal in the car. Outstanding experience.

April 2, 2022 - Slow ox one hour. Lovely floral nose. Medium bodied. Wide open for business. No green notes at all. Lush black and red cherry herbs and tea on the palate with a round finish. Lacks a little poise and focus but excellent for the vintage.

December 9, 2021 - Bottle breathe for 1 hour, and double decant before serving. Blowing scent of flower, and palate with spice, fruit, smoke yet very smooth. It’s in service after 20 min in the glass. It evolves quite nicely, with scent / nose of almond at one point (perhaps 1 hour). It becomes more full body after 1.5 hours with violet, cherry and medium finishing. Peaked about the same time. Really enjoyable and right on spot now. I will try “slow ox” next time with bottle breathe for 2 hour, and let the bottle open slowly.

October 3, 2021 - Not the best vintage but Rousseau delivers with elegance. Not as powerful as 09 or 10 but well balanced. I got a hint of effervescence in this bottle. Cherries, some spice, and overall a pleasant experience. Drinking just fine now but needs air. Perhaps I drank too quickly before proper decant.

May 2, 2021 - Floral, earthy, cherry, smoke. Palate is full, with good, almost a punchy weight. Good length, with fine, silty tannins. Easily complements food.
