Community Tasting Notes 4

October 30, 2016 - Dark ruby. Nose of anise, floral notes, damp cellar, iodine. Pure, detailed flavors of red raspberry, dark plum, and mulberry on the palate with a bit of creaminess to the texture. Some iron notes also, but submerged beneath primary fruit. Copious acidity and young tannin leading to a longer finish of raspberry and stone, with grip at the end. Second bottle this month, and showing very much the same.

October 2, 2016 - Dark ruby. Nose of anise, violets, plum, black cherry. Pure and intense black raspberry and cherry elements on the palate with good acidity and firm tannin. Moderately long finish. Good effort, tasted too young. Has the stuffing to age well.

October 22, 2013 - Tasted at the Domaine. Elegant, pure and focused. Lingers on the palate.
