October 24, 2020 - Crimson red. Med intense bouquet. Dry, med(+) acid, med tannin, body and intensity. A bit watery structure. Definitely downward from here.
Over the top. Drink now.
My notes: Sour cream and onion chips, mint, tea, Caribbean rhum, sour cherries, foliage. -

January 12, 2020 - very consistent with my previous note, very fresh, a tad to high acidity on the palate, but incredible experience given this is over 30 years old

May 21, 2019 - Slightly flawed by a hint of cork. Though still in good condition, profound with a strong spine, subdued but nice fruit and melted tannins. Enjoyable but rather austere with a lot of acid. Difficult to give a score.
Bottle Variation might be considerable. Drink up. -

January 1, 2019 - This was a beautiful surprise, 1988 a great vintage in Tuscany, but I was not expecting this too feel so fresh, still a good tannic structure that can give this wine 5-10 years if well kept, this bottle was perfect and really enjoyable

July 2, 2007 - Dinner with the Astorettes as we bid good bye to Acky (EU): very earthy nose, slightly volatile with notes of slightly cooked fruit and lots of white mushroom and leather - sweetly fruited with lots of furry tannins remaining, quite tannic in fact and out of balance for the remaining fruit which is particularly meaty and bloody supported by refreshing acidity. Not up to snuff and a far step below the 1990. Bottle looked to be in good shape but this has been better.
