Community Tasting Notes 1

June 15, 2013 - Opaque, deep purple. Nose only moderately expressive: liquorice, caramel, brambles. On the palate, very smooth, fine grained tannins and not a lot of them. Medium length, low to medium acidity. Abv is relatively high at 14.5% though it's well balanced. A blend of Barossa vineyards but - apart from a sweet note on the finish - you might almost think it was French, so understated is it. I'll be interested to see how this develops.
